It was in the 90s here this weekend and everything is blooming (me sneezing about eight times in a row affirms that!) Our Peonies are finally going to produce some flowers this year – I can’t wait to see what they do! As we work on finishing the inside of our home – our deck has been a great place to relax during the warmer months of the year.
As part of this month’s Michaels Makers challenge, I’m sharing a few summary touches with products from Michaels new seasonal decor!
I picked up these fun yellow pillows – that coordinate perfectly with my existing planters and garden stools and the pineapple pillow! The black and white pillow is existing – from last season.
The blue garden stool is also new this year, from Michaels. Love the bright blue with yellow!
This year, we’re container gardening on our deck – we have our existing blueberry plant (I think it’s 3 years old now – in the black pot) and tomatoes and peppers in the terra-cotta pots) We also have herbs in this planter, but I didn’t get a photo.
I normally just drink water, but occasionally I’ll pick up San Pellegrino Aranciata – it reminds me of the orange soda that they had in Europe when I was there in college – unlike the gross neon American version.
Also, I found lots of great Mother’s Day gifts (that were on sale!) this weekend – so think about that too!

Hi Angie! I didn’t post a tutorial because it was pretty tricky to make and I didn’t feel comfortable recommending our method. I’ve gotten several requests, so I’d love to recreate one that is easier to explain and make. Stay tuned!
