I started again on the Lack tables yesterday, but didn’t make it too far because I was getting ready for a local consignment show in San Luis Obispo, CA. I’ll be selling some of my prints and taking custom orders too.
Last night, David made these simple stands to display my prints, he’s a keeper!
I like how they can be run straight across
Or staggered
Or directly behind each other, depending on how much space you have.
They are made from leftover 1x3s and thin popular board. After applying wood glue, we clamped the flat pieces together (with spare wood in between so the wood wouldn’t get dented). After laying it flat, the triangles were glued on the back, and then held with tape since we didn’t have a clamp that would work.
These could also be neat for displaying photos with mats in a home, and easy to swap out too!
I’m trying to decide if I want to paint them white, any thoughts?
For anyone local, the sale is Saturday, November 17th in San Luis Obispo, for more info, you can check out more info here

The stands look great! I kind of like the wood, but you can never go wrong with white and if they are white your prints might stand out more.

I'm thinking leave them as they are because the prints stand out more.

I think it depends on the table or table cloth you're using…
On another note, I love your blog, Sarah! Everything you do is very inspiring. Your blog is my number one must read! I'm currently working on gathering supplies to make your famous headboard. I'm using a taupe sunbrella fabric I found on sale after the summer season. I can't wait to start on the actual building. I just need to make a trip to the hardware store, and I'll be on my way!
Good luck with your closet!

Any thoughts of selling something like this?
