I’m SO excited to share an update on my office! Serena & Lily reached out to me about an update on my hanging rattan chair and I couldn’t say YES fast enough! David gifted me this SIX Christmas’ ago and I’m still crazy about it. Which says a lot because I’m constantly changing things up. Over the past several years, I’ve honed my personal style and have edited my home – this chair has always stayed.
Since we first installed this chair, we’ve added huge floor to ceiling windows, a new rug, art and built in. I love working in this space – the light is such a blessing! My kids love visiting while I work up here and for obvious reasons, they love the hanging rattan chair! I love to take a break while working to relax here and look out the windows. Life gets busy (especially with little kids!) there is something so calming about swinging to reset the day.
More details on the chair that I love.
It’s the perfect size. With a few pillows it’s cozy and comfy.
The warm, but not too warm wood tone goes with many finishes.
It’s fun! I think every room needs a piece of furniture that is outside of the box.
Love the floor to ceiling windows in this space!
Looking down at our dining room – we also added a built in. I love how it fills this large wall.
Here’s some photos of my office over the years. Those windows add SO much!
A lot has changed, but the hanging rattan chair has stayed! What is your favorite look?
We are currently planning our front patio with pergola and I have plans to include Serena & Lily’s outdoor version of this hanging chair in white. I can’t wait to see that space to come together!! We’ve spent the past several years working on the inside of our house – we can’t wait to focus on the outside as well. We’re currently deciding between poured concrete and patio pavers (12×24 herringbone) Preference?! We were trying to hire it out, but will most likely DIY since we can’t get a response for quotes and contractors are currently scheduled out to December and even next April. Crazy!
