It’s September 1st! I’m so excited for fall – it’s been such a HOT summer – only a few more weeks of the heat!
For this month’s Michaels Maker challenge – I decided to do a hybrid of summer and fall – so I created a simple table scape – reflecting both seasons.
Our dining room is currently torn up, so we’ve been eating in our living room – roughing it. Obviously I’m kidding 😉
We normally keep it pretty simple – but, faux pumpkins make the perfect center piece!
Here’s how to do it:
1. Using a sharp knife, cut off the top – a circle, about 4″
2. Place 1 – 2 glasses with water inside (two keeps the glasses snug to prevent tipping)
3. Trim flowers to fit. I start with the statement flower, in this case, hydrangeas (my go to!) and then sprinkle in the accent flowers. When in doubt, keep the palette simple, to one to two colors.
Super simple! 🙂
