I wanted to share follow up on the Stocksund Sofa at Ikea that I shared last week. In person, the quality was pretty good and it was comfy! My only complaint is that the bottom looked a little loose (maybe it could be stapled? I didn’t look closely). But, for the price, I thought it was great!
Ikea also added a sheepskin cushion cover!
Think about adding molding to the wall for architectural detail! Also, think about layering frames on top for an unexpected look. Love this space by Handmade Charlotte!

This week, I pick up another pair of my go-to casual flats! They are SUPER comfy, they don’t rub or pinch (I hate that with flats), they aren’t tight, but they don’t slip off your feet, and they’re super light!! Rocket Dog, at TJ Maxx, just $16.99!
I love this living / dining space created by The Design Files – it’s bright with neutrals and pops of color. I also love the mix of mid century modern with contemporary and a little traditional (love those chandeliers!) This the feel that I’m going for in our home!

I can't stand when flats squeeze. Some of mine rub off my nail polish- grr. That floor lamp is gorgeous and I had not seen that IKEA couch- can't wait to check it out!!

The stocksund series is slipcovered. That's probably why the bottom looks loose. I imagine stapling it would probably put a damper on the washability?
Sarah says
I didn't realize that it was slip covered, that would explain why it was loose on the bottom 🙂

Ah yes, as a mother of two boys – 2 and 4 years old – I did a virtual backflip when I saw your post and followed the ikea website to see that it's a machine washable slipcover!

Where, oh where, did you find those Ikea sheepskin seat covers? They're not in my local store and I can't find them online …
I. Must. Have. Them.
Please send help. 😉

These were at ikea college park in Maryland 🙂 also, they are smaller, for pillows, but you could upholster a small seat with them!

That's exactly the moulding style I'm planning to do in my living room! Some time AFTER Style Challenge, that is 🙂 And that floor lamp is fabulous!
