Hi Friends! Happy Friday! We just hit a big book deadline!! Can’t wait to share more with you soon! We’re redoing our hallway this weekend and it will include a first look at a book project. I’m so excited to share with you!
HOME DECOR
Rebecca Atwood recently released new items! Maybe on a feature wall behind the sink in a bathroom!?
TIP + TRICK
I just ordered this front door. If you’re renovating, consider swapping out your old front door. It’s the first thing you see when you enter your home and can add great curb appeal! Looking to save money? Think about painting your interior doors (That’s what we’re doing this weekend) If you have a paint sprayer, that is by far the easiest way to do it! We have this one (and love it!)
SARAH’S CHOICE
This would be a fun addition to a playroom or office!
Please pin from original source, here, thanks!
AROUND THE WEB
Loving the mix of materials in this cozy reading nook!

FAVORITE FIND
I just ordered this book for John – he loves books!
This throw would add the perfect pop of color at the foot of a bed (long enough for a Queen!)
This rug just came and I love it! The colors are less intense in person, so keep that in mind. But so so pretty! On sale now too! $284 for an 8×10 was member!

Hi Sarah, Love your site! I had a question on painting doors — we have regular white doors throughout our home and I’ve been wanting to paint them black. I will probably just do by hand vs. using a sprayer. Do they need to be sanded and/or primed in your experience? Our existing doors appear to have a regular semi gloss finish. Thanks for your advice!

Hi Melissa! We actually just started painting our doors (post was last actually friday!) We didn’t sand prime ours first – we actually started spraying them outside, but it was too humid and windy, so we ended up brushing and rolling inside – which worked well. If you’re doing semi gloss over semi gloss, I don’t think you need to prime/sand first.

That is super helpful and I did see that post but wanted to make sure I didn’t miss anything. Thanks so much! It’s exactly what I wanted to hear 😉
