Target is now putting home decor front and center (at least at my local Target!) They are killing me – I want everything. I found a massive bench (similar to our DIY version) I can’t find it online though!
Please pin from original source, here, thanks!
Do you have a favorite cart seat? I feel like I’ve looked at all of them and done tons of research, but it’s still fairly confusing!? Infant car seat – convertible car seat – travel system – stroller – stroller frame?? If you have any tips, I’d love to hear them!!
I love the subtle mix of finishes here and a built in bench is always a good idea!

I remember in high school I loved Steve Madden shoes — now I love their scarves! I have a few! I just picked up this one the other week and love it! (ps it’s only $15!)
I’m loving these reclaimed hooks! Maybe for my closet!?

Parent opinion! A car seat is a car seat, I've purchased cheap, I've purchased expensive. They all have to meet federal safety guidelines so you should look for the following: Does the bucket seat snap into whatever stroller you want? If you'll use a stroller at all when baby is tiny, that is a really nice feature! How difficult is it to install/uninstall in and out of the car when you need to switch vehicles (like when grandparents take the baby for the day!)? Our bucket base (Graco) just had a clip to attach to the LATCH hooks and it was SUCH a pain to uninstall so we had like 3 bases. Our Britax convertible seats have a seat belt style button to click and un-click from the LATCH hooks. It's a million times easier. Also, how easy is it to take off, wash and re-install the car seat cover when the baby has a blowout/accident/gets sick?

Thanks so much! That helps a lot! I've heard that they safest car seat is one that is installed correctly (since that's easy to get wrong) So sounds like ease of installation is super important! Thank you!!

With my first, I got one of those graco travel systems with the infant car seat, stroller and base. It worked fine but the stroller took up so much space in the car! With my 2nd, we needed a double stroller so we still used the base/car seat but ditched the stroller. When my 3rd was born, the older two generally didn't need the stroller. I switched to a chicco stroller that folded up much smaller than my original. You want a stroller with a big basket and a cup holder for you and maybe a snack tray for when you hit the toddler phase. Pick a stroller first and then find the carseat that snaps in. That is really invaluable for at least the first 6 months. My kids got too heavy to carry in the car seat by 6-9 months and didn't like to sit that reclined once they could sit up on their own, so we switched to a britax convertible at that point. Loved that one.

We love our chicco key fit 30 travel system. Car seat is really easy to install and it has bubble levers so you can make sure you have it installed correctly. It is super easy to move it to another car. The stroller can be folded up one handed. And best of all the seat zips out completely and you can use it just as stroller frame and then reattach when your baby is old enough to want to ride in the stroller. It has worked really well for us

I means levels not levers. Lol!

I LOOOOOVE our Nuna Pipa!!! Watch the video of the install of the car seat base, it is insanely quick. My husband and I tried to install our friends carseat the other day and it was such a pain! They thought we were crazy for thinking it was hard but then we showed them how easy the Nuna base is and they were shocked. I have never regretted spending a little more for it because it has been worth every single penny. I am already planning to buy the Nuna Rava when my son turns 2!

We chose Diono car seats years ago for our two sons because of the steel frame construction, slimmer profile so 3 car seats/people can still fit in the backseat, it can be used from birth until they graduate out of a car seat, and they expire at 10 years rather than the typical 6-8 years. Also, we travel frequently and the Diono can fold up and be carried as a backpack. I rarely used a stroller so I did not miss the convenience of a car seat/stroller system. The only downside to the Diono is its weight. Given that it has a steel frame, it weighs around 25-30lbs.

I have the Britax Marathon G4, which is one of Consumer Buying Guides' top rated convertible seats, has very good customer reviews, and was recommended to my sister by a car seat installation technician. It's very easy to install and uninstall as well.
