Hi everyone! Sorry for the lack of posts … we’ve been working on something – hopefully I’ll have fun news to share soon!!

Remember this coffee table that I picked up at Goodwill for only $9.99?
We don’t have all of our tools out but we’re still building!
Here’s what we’ve got going on. Any guesses?
Ok, I’ll just tell you, I want your input 🙂 It’s going to be a kitchen island! We have 2′ of counter space, so this will make the kitchen a little more useable.
What would you do with it? I think it will have to be painted since there are three different finishes going on. We hope to finish it this weekend, so let me know what you would do!
Happy weekend!!

i can't build like you can, BUT i think i would replace the legs with just 3×3's or 4×4's and make them longer of course, and add a shelf at the bottom and casters. if possible i would stain the top (if in decent shape_ and paint the base!

Something similar to Cassie but I'm sure you were thinking that already. Can't wait to see it!
Sarah says
I'm definitely going to try that – the top is a veneer so I'll have to see after sanding. Now I just have to narrow down a paint color 🙂

Can't wait to see it 🙂 I wish I could remake/rebuild like you guys do!
Sarah says
Thanks Jeanna!! 🙂

We have a similar kitchen problem…lack of space. I love your idea of converting a coffee table to an island! I would have stools placed on one side for a make-shift breakfast bar. Can't wait to see what you end up doing with it.
Sarah says
We've been thinking about adding stools, hopefully it will work out!
