Hi! Happy Friday! Since Creating with the Stars took up all of March, we forgot about taxes until last weekend, guess I know what we’ll David will be doing. Trust me, I’m better off working on projects, the one year I tried to help, David ended up redoing what I did 🙂

As most of you probably know, Google Reader will be going away July 1st. I know, bummer! After researching a little, Bloglovin’ might be a good way to go! Check out this post here, from Bloglovin’ on how to import your Google Reader list.
If you are currently following along on Google Reader, Bloglovin’ might be a good way to go! Of course there is still Facebook, RSS, Twitter
I’ve added a Bloglovin’ button to my banner, feel free to follow along there!
I have lots of projects planned for the weekend, come back next week to see what I get to!!
Hope you have a great weekend!

OK, here's how low-tech I am…I read all of my blogs off of the blog roll on my blogger dashboard. Will that be gone too? Thanks for the tip on Bloglovin.

Hi Jennifer! I don't think that the blog roll would go away as long as blogger is still around (I think :). But I wanted to give another option to those who follow along with google reader 🙂

Thanks! I didn't think so either but just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something, or that all of my favorite blogs wouldn't suddenly disappear. Have a great weekend Sarah!

Everybody hates change, right? I made the move to bloglovin' last month, and it is kind of nice to use. The only thing that annoyed me (but maybe that was stupid ol' me not understanding how it works) was that I couldn't find a post that I had already read (and I didn't remember on which of all of those fabulous blogs it was) and just wanted to pin – I had to go through all of my browser history to find it. Stupid me or stupid bloglovin? 😉
Sarah says
Agreed! I'm not sure about looking at past posts, I never tried that with reader, if I find it on bloglovin', I'll let you know! 🙂

I've been using bloglovin' for a while now and like it better than Google Reader. But thanks for posting about Google Reader's end. I didn't know about it. :/

When I heard of Google Reader's end I immediately started looking for a replacement and Bloglovin' does come highly recommended by a lot of people, so I went ahead and imported by subscriptions over. But I didn't stop there. Through my research I found several other good possibilities and I imported my feeds to the top 4. The Old Reader (made to look and act like Google Reader), Netvibes (hated it!), Feedly and Bloglovin'. What I didn't like about Bloglovin' was that after import it didn't keep my blog categories, so I ended up with one list of a couple hundred blogs (yes I have too many, blame it on changing interests, but not wanting to forget my old friends). The thought of reorganizing that many was not pleasant, and Bloglovin' didn't seem like anything special, just a plain reader. So I started use Feedly full time to see if I liked it better. It did transfer my feeds and keep them in their categories and it's so pretty to look at and much easier to use than any of the other options. It's by far my favorite! And just today I closed all the other Reader accounts.
So the point of this too long comment is, Check out Feedly, I think you'll love it!

Thanks for the suggestion!! I'll be sure to check out Feedly too! 🙂
