Hi friends! I can’t believe it’s already Thursday, I almost forgot to post! David’s been gone all week, so progress has been slower this week. But, we did make great progress over the weekend! We finished the floor, recessed lighting, and the wall panels are pretty much done. We are considering staining them a little darker and adding trim to finish the edge. Overall, I LOVE how they turned out! David did a great job figuring out how to make the angles work with the grain direction that I drew up!
I like the rug, it is jute, so it’s a little rough (for John, something a little plusher would be nice) and I was hoping that the colors would be a little more saturated (the photo above makes it a little more muted, I’d say it’s in between this and the online photo). It’s on sale now, great price, under $300 for an 8×10!
It’s hard to tell in the photo, but the recessed lights make the lighting so much nicer than the flourescent that we had! Now, to work on the built in covering up the support column! I’m excited!! It’s starting to come together!
Miss an update? Check out Week 1, Week 2, Week 3

the panel wall looks amazing and what a steal on that rug! Looking forward to seeing what’s happening on the opposite wall next week. Can’t believe it’s almost week 5!
