Today, I’m sharing a fun, gender neutral nursery that could work for both a girl or a boy! West Elm recently released a baby and kids line! Most things below are from that new line.
I love the idea of selecting a busy wallpaper (how fun is the one below!?) and the other items are neutral.
A navy jute rug is durable, and easy to hide any stains you can’t get up (and pretty inexpensive too!) A plush, neutral, easy to wipe glider with a high back – perfect for late night soothing.
Neutral furniture that can grow with baby – a crib that converts to a toddler bed and a dresser with a removable changing pad attachment.
Yes! You can layer art over busy wallpaper! Select something with a wide white mat and keep the art inside pretty simple. I love Sharon Montrose’s animal prints – how cute is this baby monkey!?
And layering in vintage textiles from Etsy – adds a little character and a reminder that nothing stays perfect! 🙂

Wallpaper isn’t peel and stick (it is supposed to be easy to remove though with sure strip technology, I’ve installed the wallpaper in a different pattern, and it was super easy to install, I haven’t taken it down yet, I’ll keep you posted when I do! I’m sure John won’t like it forever 🙂 If you’d prefer peel and stick, some good options here and here!
Want to see me style a space around a specific piece? Leave it in the comments below and I may include it here next week! Do you prefer living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, kids spaces, kitchens? I’m also thinking about switching this series over to items and ideas that would work in homes too – maybe include some DIY built in ideas? Let me know!
