Today, I’m back at East Coast Creative sharing about how we made our custom headboard! Make sure to stop by and take a look!
Only a few of my photos turned out since we did a lot of this at night (and the lighting is low there), so I made a few diagrams instead, please let me know if you have any questions!
I also shared a source list in case you were interested!
Hope you have a great weekend! I think we’ll be relaxing and maybe a little cleaning (the house is a mess!!) I’ll be instagramming along the way, if you’d like to follow I’m @ sarahmdorseydesigns. Although, we’ve been dieing to finish the Eames chairs (it’s only been since like Halloween!)… so maybe we’ll work on that too!

Thanks so much Sarah!! I'm excited to finish them too! It's been so long! and I'm tired of sitting in my dining chairs 🙂

Thanks so much! I stayed up late the night before deciding what pillows to use, and then quickly DIYed them that morning! 🙂

What a stunning bedroom!! I just love your bedding – the mix of colors and patterns. It's gorgeous! You've convinced me that I need to add more layers to our beds.

Hi Sarah,
I've decided I'm going to attempt to recreate the headboard. I have read the tutorial several times but I just cant seem to figure out the last set of instructions. When I'm wrapping the fabric around the arms do I need to cut and fold in the fabric and stable, then cut a strip the height of the arm, tuck in excess fabric, iron and then use heat and bond to affix the strip over the top? Also are the 1×3 facing the wall or the bed? I don't have a blogger account so I will leave my email below or you can simply leave a reply in the comments. Thanks!
