Hi! I hope that you had a great weekend! We finalized a few things and took the last photos for our ca home tour. It may seem a little crazy to be changing things a few weeks before we move (now end of September … more on that later) but, I was so close to being “finished” that I wanted to see things through. I say “finished” because I could change things forever, but I’m stopping at, it feels like me and makes me happy 🙂
So to finish things up I painted this set of nesting tables. They had a few deep scratches, so I decided that paint would be best.
I sanded and filled the scratches with wood filler.
Primed with Zinsser Coverstain and photoshopped a few paint options.
I finished it with Sherwin Williams Pro Classic, Alabaster in semi-gloss (took three coats). Painted a Greek Key in SW Big Chill, by creating a stencil for the corners and connecting the straight lines with painters tape, like I did on the pin board.
This table was originally in the same place, just turned the other way. We moved the sofa and shelving over a few inches so that both tables would fit.
I was planning on painting a gold dipped leg, but ran out of time. I’m sure I’ll find something else to dip soon 🙂
I took a bunch of photos this weekend, so updated room and house tour this week or next!!
I’m now officially selling most of our furniture! A few things have been claimed, but if you’re local (central coast ca), let me know if your interested anything. I’ll be selling a few smaller things here, so if you think it will ship, feel free to ask 🙂 Leave a comment here, or email me at sarahmdorseydesigns{@}gmail{.}com

Gorgeous Tables! I chose the greek key pattern too! Love!
I would LOVE to purchase your nail head feature wall in your bedroom. Wondering if that's possible?
Sarah says
Hi Jeanna, We actually just took it down last night! We had to take it down in three pieces to get it down the staircase, since it is SO big. Feel free to send me an email for the details 🙂 sarahmdorseydesigns{@}gmail{.}com

They turned out great, Sarah (as always)! what are you parting with? I am interested! I'm just not sure how close San Diego is to Pismo Beach. Maybe…ROAD TRIP!! 🙂
Sarah says
Thanks so much Amy! I'll make a list soon of what we're definitely keeping, definitely selling and what I might sell 🙂 I think it would be about 4.5 to 5 hours, but at least the drive is pretty! ps your stencil wall came out great!

Thank you! Wondering if these are up for grabs: secretary desk, abstract b+w you just posted about and your DIY turquoise chandelier? How about I just rent a U-Haul and I'll see you this weekend? 😉
Sarah says
The secretary desk sold, and the abstract b+w painting is still available, I think we're taking the statement light with us 🙂

Hi Sarah. Is the mirror still available?

Sarah says
Hi Erin! Unfortunately the glass mirror is reserved. I would sell the mirror over the frame shelves though … http://sarahmdorseydesigns.blogspot.com/2012/07/moorish-insprired-wall-and-frame-shelves.html

Bummer. If things change, let me know. I didn't know until today that you were ready to sell.
Thanks.

Jane says
I may have missed you posting, but where are you moving to?
Sarah says
Hi Jane! I'll be sharing a few more details in tomorrow post! 🙂
tip says
I voted for the greek key 🙂 I am also interested in purchasing a few items as well so let us know what you are selling. Like the teal footstool, coffee table, everything 🙂
Sarah says
Love the greek key too! I have one person in front of you for the turquoise ottoman, and we aren't planning on selling the driftwood coffee table (too much time invested!) I'll have a list tomorrow with what we're selling and what we're keeping 🙂
Lauren Monique says
Oh I like it! Adds a nice bit of interest to white tables. I'm loving that design and it will probably end up somewhere in my house soon..!

So beautiful, Sarah! I kind of like that you didn't do both (dip and greek key). The subtle stencil is just lovely and that detail on the lip of the tables is pretty amazing!

Sarah – did you use the same coral paint on the lamp shade?
