Humpday Giveaway: Artisan Jewelry from Taylor’s Eclectic

Today I have a very special giveaway from my good friend Taylor, from Taylor’s Eclectic!

I adore Taylor’s work because it is:

a. beautiful
b. meticulously hand crafted
c. incredibly unique!

I asked Taylor to talk a little about her process and technique, here is what she had to say:

“I spent many months developing my paper sculpting process. It is not
paper mache. It is not paper stretching. It is not decoupage. What is
it? It’s my own specialized process. It’s my own specialized sealants.
It’s a piece of jewelry with an obsessive attention to detail and hours
of hand sculpting. Working in intricate detail has a strangely calming
effect on me.”

Even though each piece contains paper, they are all completely waterproof, due to Taylor’s sealant process.  

Pretty neat, huh?

So in honor of Valentine’s Day, We are giving away one of my favorite items from her shop, a pair of her heart studs

I was able to meet up with Taylor while in MD for Christmas and it was so fun talking about her process. Taylor meticulously crafts and puts a lot of TLC into each piece!

  48. Oh that was fun – I scoured the site and fell in love with the apple blossom pendant, (http://www.etsy.com/listing/95838736/apple-blossom-tree-necklace-in-sterling?) very cool and unusual. It reminds me of home and I miss my apple tree in Nova Scotia so much! My little daughter says that if she could give me any present in the whole world it would be a truckload of apples so my pick is no surprise. Also loved the little black hearts you featured. Who would have thought that black hearts would look so great?! Wouldn't a bracelet or cuff with them be cool? I wonder if she would give it a try?
