Last week was treasure sale day at my mom’s work (sorry it’s only open to employees!) We picked up three dressers, a chair and a mirror! I sanded this dresser last weekend – my plan is to keep it all wood (It really doesn’t look bad in this photo, but it had scratches all over it – so it needed to be sanded, but the veneer was in pretty good shape with no major cuts!) I still need to sand the detail work and legs (last week I cut my knuckles pretty bad when sanding the legs and the sandpaper broke and my fingers crashed into the pavement – getting cuts on your knuckles is the worst because they bend and take forever to heal!)
So once I go over it with finer sandpaper, and finish the detail sections – I can stain it – I’d like to keep it light – close to the natural color, but the front veneer stripes are a lighter wood, does anyone have experience with that, or do I need to use a darker stain?
Probably my favorite thing about fall is roasting veggies – especially squash! My favorite way to roast any veggie is EVOO, maple syrup, s+p, and red pepper flakes YUM!
I also LOVE roasted cauliflower – it takes away the cabbage flavor and brings out a natural sweetness – this recipe was yummy! I also like it buffalo chicken style!
Please pin from original source, here, thanks!
It’s official! I’m obsessed with Jord watches! The other week I shared my Jord watch – today, I’m sharing the men’s version!
Here’s the Frankie – we both love the dark sandalwood!
David’s wrists are on the smaller side – the watch face is the perfect size!
The Delmar is also gorgeous, I love the Zebrawood! The watch face is a little larger.
I love that they come in a gorgeous wood box.
Thanks so much to Jord for providing the watches – as always, I only share products and companies that I love and have had a great experience with!
Did you catch Jen’s guest room reveal? I love the use of color! And a stripe is ALWAYS a good idea in my opinion!

Thanks so much for sharing, what an awesome surprise!
I actually did that broyhill sculptra dresser for my son's room. sanded the thing and re-stained in a walnut. Then I did the 3D parts in a color. different ways to do it but the two-tone look looks good on these. Do a glossy enamel. A dark walnut stain and the 3D things done in a deep black would look awesome.
